Dear SPMers,
The last digest of the spm mailing list contained two messages about calibration, an important topic in AFM.
I can't answer Don's question, as I've never heard of anyone actually doing recalibration of AFM standards, but certainly they can getcontaminated quite easily which could change the results.
I know that VLSI standards do sample recertification.
I've created a list of standards for AFM at:
http://knol.google.com/k/peter-eaton/spm-standards/25laaiqlcn2x8/6#
Which includes the link to VLSI as well as all the other standards suppliers I have found. The VLSI site has a few comments about recertification of standards which may be of interest.
If anyone knows of any standards I forgot to include in my list, they can add them directly to the knol page, or let me know about it and I will add them.
This list wil be published in my forthcoming book soon, so any changes should be made soon.
Regards,
Pete.
