Dear all,
We at Lancaster University, UK are looking for an enthusiastic and
creative scientist to work on development of a nanoscale
non-destructive, carbon nanotube (CNT) based scanning, thermal probe.
The work will include novel advanced approaches of Ultrasonic Force
Microscopy and IR spectroscopy. Target applications are in biomedical
field and quantum nanostructures.
The project is sponsored by major EPSRC grant to Lancaster and will be
performed in close collaboration with the Centre for Molecular and
Nanoscale Electronics at Durham University. While initially for three
years - the project is a part of a bigger expanding effort in the field:

Our Physics Department at the University of Lancaster was recently
ranked as the best research physics department in UK (overtaking
Cambridge, Oxford and Imperial among others).
