[Spm] STM converter head - 50 Hz oscillation

Dear everyone,

I work with a Veeco Multimode using an STM converter head (MMSTMLCE-378). Unfortunately, there is an oscillation of 50 Hz in all of my pictures and even when I withdraw my tip, I can still see a smooth sine oscillation in the Scope Mode's current diagram. An additional grounding of the converter does not get rid of the current, however, if I put my hand on it, the sine disappears. 

Does anybody have a clue which device might be broken inside the head?
