Dear colleagues,
Please forward the following recruitment info to anyone who might be
interested.

********************
A postdoctoral/research associate position in the area of Biological Physics
is available at Clarkson University, Department of Physics and NanoBio
Laboratory (NABLAB). Initial appointment is for two years and can be
extended. The topic of research is focused around the use of Atomic Force
Microscopy (AFM) to study mechanics of human cells, and to investigate
interaction of various nanosized or nanostructured objects with cells.
Combinations of AFM with confocal laser scanning microscopy and Raman
confocal are dedicated to do this research. An ideal candidate has
background in Physics and at least familiar with Biology and Chemistry.
Please email your inquiry and/or the documents (CV and a short statement of
research interests) to Prof. Igor Sokolov: biophyssearch at clarkson.edu . Web:
http://people.clarkson.edu/~isokolov/
***********************

Thank you.
Best regards,
Igor

Surface Chemistry/Sensor Post-doctoral Opportunity

Surface Modification for Hydrogen and Humidity Sensors

NASA funded research in collaboration with a sensor development company.

Candidate should have surface chemistry/modification experience. Expertise
in the following areas would be useful; growth of self-assembled monolayers,
metal deposition, sensors, electrochemistry, preparation of single crystal
electrodes, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy
(STM).

A strong record of publication in peer-reviewed literature attesting to
these capabilities is required. Additional responsibilities include
training and supervision of students, and preparation of reports and
manuscripts for publication. Ph.D. in Chemistry or related discipline is
necessary. A strong background in physical/surface chemistry is desirable.

Temple University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, and
specifically invites and encourages applications from women and minorities
(AA, EOE, m/f/d/v.).

Applications should be addressed to:
