Professor Tomasz Hueckel from the Civil and Environmental Engineering 
and Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Department at Duke 
University (Durham, NC) seeks a PhD candidate interested in working on a 
project “AFM investigations of chemo-mechanical interactions at an 
intergranular mineral contact in aqueous environment”. The project is 
funded by a NSF grant.
