[Spm] Graphite Force

When using a smooth, homogeneous, inert surface, such as graphite, mica, or silicon, what is a good or typical standard deviation/standard error?  What are some parameters that people try to maximize to lessen the error and what is the best type of cantilever (100 or 200 um wide or 100 or 200 um narrow)!
