Hello All,

Professor Marcus D. Lay, University of Georgia, is organizing a symposium at the Joint International Electrochemical Society Spring 2007 Meeting in Phoenix, AZ. This “Young Investigator Symposium” will provide a unique opportunity for awareness and networking among junior faculty involved in Nanotechnology/Nanoscience research. In addition to contributed talks, there will be several invited talks from well-established junior and senior faculty. There will also be a poster session. Abstract submission will be available online at www.electrochem.org in early September.

This symposium will focus on fundamental and applied aspects of various forms of nanomaterials. Areas of interest include: the use of scanning probe microscopy for characterization and lithographic patterning, synthesis and incorporation of nanomaterials into functional device structures, materials composed of individual, and networks of carbon nanotube, electrochemical investigations of nanomaterials, semiconductor nucleation and growth, nanodots, nano- and micro- porous templates, nanoscale materials for catalysis, nanoscale materials for energy transduction/sensing, and simulations/modeling of nanoscale systems and devices.

Be sure to take part in this excellent opportunity!
