[Spm] Instrumentation requirements for atomic resolution AFM

I'm currently working on some nanolithography work with a Dimension 3000
with the Nanoscope IIIa controller. Most literature in this field seems to
deal with atomic-scale resolution images to determine the necessary forces
to etch the monolayer - I'm wondering if the instrument I'm currently using
is capable of zooming down to these levels (and what sort of cantilevers I'd
need to do it). I'm currently using DNP-S cantilevers.
 
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
